After the six-figure investment supported by Ulster Bank, an independent stadium owner in Ulster Central has secured the future of his business as he anticipates that the world's demand for mental and physical health support services will increase after the pandemic. big.

Entrepreneur Aaron McGonigle founded Aaron's Gym of the same name in 2012, when he started to provide personal training and coaching courses in the backyard of Magherafelt's home.

Three years ago, in 2018, he launched Aaron's Gym in Cookstown, a fully equipped gym located on Molesworth Road, designed to meet the needs of fitness enthusiasts at all stages of the fitness journey from athletes to novices .

With a six-figure facility from Ulster Bank, Aaron has now acquired the Cookstown venue operated by his gym as he seeks to expand the brand and its services in the local community.

Supported by a team of 21 employees and personal trainers, Aaron's Gym provides a variety of weights and onboard equipment, as well as a range of aerobic exercise machines, including treadmills, cross trainers, exercise bikes and rowing machines.

It also runs a group class and fitness classes, including children's classes.

Among the adjacent units acquired as part of the investment, Aarons runs the gym’s sister company Energy, Mind & Body, a wellness center that provides consultations, courses, seminars and holistic treatments (such as yoga, reiki, meditation, foot Bottom massage, massage, acupuncture, etc.

According to James Fox, Ulster Bank’s business development manager, this investment was made on the occasion of the company’s 10th anniversary and will ensure an important asset for the local community.

He continued: "Aaron's Gym has proven that it is more than just a successful business.

"It has become the center of all aspects of physical and mental health and has cultivated a supportive and compassionate community whose influence extends far beyond the scope of the gym. Ulster Bank places great emphasis on supporting the communities in which it operates, and we are proud Able to support businesses and entrepreneurs like Aaron that provide important services at the local level."

Commenting on the timing of the investment, Aaron said that his membership has returned to pre-pandemic levels.

He explained: “We are as busy now as before the pandemic began. Looking ahead, I expect the demand for the products we provide will continue to rise.

"Our old members have come back to receive our training, and as young and old people seek support and ways to rejuvenate physically and mentally after the pandemic, we have also attracted many new registrations."

He believes that this growth is the result of a holistic approach to physical and mental health advocated by the Aaron's Gym and Energy, Mind & Body brands.

Aaron added: "My personal journey has been integrated into the structure of the two companies.

"Based on experience, I can say that many people use fitness not only for obvious health benefits, but also to support themselves and create armor.

"That's why we use energy, mind, and body as a side job of the gym. It's clear that we need to take care of our mind and body as much as possible."

In April 2020, at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, Aaron and his team also established the Central Ulster Community Support Center to raise funds and deliver much-needed food packages to the most vulnerable people in the Central Ulster region. The network continues to provide services today and has been expanded to include mental health support. To date, it has delivered more than 3,000 food parcels and raised more than £10,000 through charitable activities to run its programs.
