The Washington rookie who was shot in an attempted carjacking is, against all odds, looking like he will actually be back in action of week 5.

W hen Brian Robinson suffered a horrifying carjacking attempt which resulted in two bullet wounds, the entire nation hoped and prayed that he would survive. The events on August 28th were horrifying, and no one was even contemplating the fact he could return to the NFL. The recovery, however, has been nothing short of miraculous and is looking like it will only make him lose the first 4 weeks of the 2022 NFL season.

The proof is that he returned to the practice field on Wednesday, although mainly using a stationary bike. The following day, however, he showed off an impressive agility ladder workout to his Instagram followers. In which the rookie running back runs forward, laterally, and backwards in great speed and without any issues.

It is likely that Brian Robinson will dress in pads soon, as he still has another mandatory three inactive weeks after being placed on the NFI (Non Football Injury) list. The soonest he can return would be on October 9th, when they Commanders host the Titans in Week 5 in FedEx Field.

Washington fared well without Robinson in their Week 1 victory over the Jaguars, although they primarily dominated Jacksonville in the aerial game (even through RB Antonio Gibson, who had 7 receptions). Brian Robinson will be a welcome addition to the Commanders running game when he returns.
